First off: this burger from this blahg. It’s vegetarian and made out of quinoa and eggs and cottage cheese so, really, tell me how to make it more protein-y without stuffing it with steak and stuff. I dare you.
And all you meat-eaters can remember this: Fridays in Lent are meat-free anyway. You need some tasty snacks.
Also, I never showed you the skirt I made for the Snowball, did I? The one with the bug print material? Well, here it is in all its ruffly layered glory. It also has a high waist and faux sailor buttons and pockets because I KNOW WHAT I’M ABOUT, SON.
Oh, and I went to the library today.
I got books on circus and lino-cutting and 1920’s fashion and the 4 loves (thanks, Clive Staples). Why, you ask?
WELLLLLLLLLLL, I’m newly intrigued with lino-cutting. If you’ve done this before TELL ME YOUR SECRETS. I’m super interested. I need to learn this skill, frankly.
Circus and 1920’s fashion because I need to do this one play, “Godspell,” and I want to do it in a really cool Art Deco-y circus theme.
If that’s exciting to you: I KNOW. I’ll keep you updated, if you’d like.
If that isn’t exciting to you: REEVALUATE THE THINGS YOU FIND EXCITING. Because if it isn’t the Jazz age and circus and musical theater…I don’t know what to do.
I showed my books to my mom and was like, “Yeah, so the costumes for this play…”
And she said, “You’re going to do this? You’re crazy.”
So then I told her to get her own library books.
But she said she was kidding so I let her read the rest.
What have you been making lately?
Also: pray for me. This week is a dooooooooooooooooozy.
